Neurosurgery is a specialty specialising in brain, spinal cord and nerve-related surgery, and neurosurgery is evolving rapidly with advances in surgical techniques and related equipment. We are developing support models for neurosurgery using AI technologies, including machine learning and deep learning, and are working to pass on the skills of skilled doctors to the next generation. Appropriate perioperative management before and after surgery is also extremely important for patients undergoing surgery. For this reason, we are conducting research to develop and demonstrate an AI algorithm to optimise perioperative management. Furthermore, accurate diagnosis and appropriate drug management are also required for patients who do not require surgery, and we are working on developing AI systems to solve this problem. By making full use of cutting-edge technology, we will strive to bring smiles to the faces of more patients.
