Greeting from Clinical Assistant Professor Yoshitaka Nagashima.
The Spine and Spinal Cord Group at the Nagoya University Department of Neurosurgery, in collaboration with its affiliated facilities, handles various diseases related to the spine and spinal cord, such as degenerative diseases, tumors, congenital malformations, and vascular disorders.
In addition to the spine and spinal cord field, we are also working on surgery for trigeminal neuralgia and facial spasms, as well as intrathecal baclofen therapy (ITB therapy) for lower limb spasticity.
Our goal is to respond to the symptoms and needs of our patients and provide minimally invasive, appropriate treatment for diseases that greatly affect our daily lives, such as pain and numbness in the limbs, muscle weakness, and gait disorder.
