Kinya Yokoyama

Greeting from Assistant Professor Kinya Yokoyama.

We treat brain strokes by direct surgery and endovascular treatment.
We also conduct fundamental research in the field of brain strokes, with a focus on moyamoya disease.
In brain stroke treatment, we believe that it is important to acquire skills and knowledge in both direct surgery and endovascular treatment in order to be able to select and perform the most appropriate treatment for each patient.
There have been advances in genetic research into moyamoya diseases, which is common in people throughout Asian, especially Japanese people.
However, it is still a developing field with many things we still do not understand. For this very reason, it is a very rewarding research field.
Let's work together and do our best.
