Direct surgeries for cerebrovascular disorders, such as clipping surgery, bypass surgery, and brain arteriovenous malformation removal surgery, can be so beautiful to witness that we can even forget the passing of time However, the life of the patient will depend on the surgery's success or failure.
We engage in our daily clinical practices with two goals: to safely and reliably conduct these surgeries for our patients and to constantly improve our practice.
I consider conducting research as another important mission for a university hospital.
From our own unique perspective, our group conducts research on unresolved issues in clinical practice, as well as fundamental research on “moyamoya disease”, for which there is no definitive therapy or medical treatment.
